Today I discovered two types of plants in my
grandfather’s garden. Although the plants are seen everywhere in the garden,
but I knew little about the plants’ details. So I searched the Internet for more
information about the plants. Here are my findings:
This is a
mimosa plant. Its scientific name is Mimosa pudica. It is also called as
the shy plant because its leaves close quickly when touched. This plant also has
sharp thorns on its stem. It has pink or yellow flowers.

This is a type of fern. After I searched the Internet, its scientific name is Pteridophyta. This plant is one of the oldest plants on earth! Its stem and leaves contain spores. It does not have flower.

Next time when I go to this garden, I will have a look at other plants.
